Kelly Bowker is a choreographer, dancer and pilates instructor. After graduating from the University of Michigan with a BFA in dance she spent several years in Washington DC dancing for Clancyworks, Catsccratch Theater and as an apprentice with the Liz Lerman Dance Exchange.
After deciding she was not an east coast girl Kelly moved on to San Francisco where she created Kelly Bowker and Dancers. Kelly Bowker and Dancers received a Zellerbach grant to assist in the creation of “Parallel Uncertainty”. They performed as part of the San Francisco International Arts Festival and at many venues through out the Bay Area. Kelly also danced with Her-Pic Productions, Ishika Seth and Dancers and Gretchen Garnett and Dancers while in San Francisco.
During her time in San Francisco Kelly also became a certified pilates instructor through Pilates Academy International with additional training through the Center for Womens’ Fitness.
Kelly is currently pursuing a masters degree in choreography at Trinity Laban Conservetoire of Music and Dance. Come back soon to see where she goes next.
